The Valencia CF coach talks after the 2-2 result against Deportivo Alavés
A visit to the Hospital Universitario y Politécnico de La Fe rounded off an initiative carried out throughout the month of March, in which Valencia CF -via the VCF Academy, VCF Femenino, VCF Footballers Association and VCF Foundation- delivered shirts converted into hospital gowns to sick children.
This social action was carried out in four hospitals: IMED Valencia, Hospital Universitario Doctor Peset, Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valencia and Hospital Universitario y Politécnico de La Fe. Some 150 gowns made from official Valencia CF shirts donated by PUMA were handed out.
Valencia CF president Anil Murthy reviewed the success of the idea, saying that "it is a very nice initiative in collaboration with PUMA, turning shirts into hospital gowns. The entire Valencia CF family is here: The club, the VCF Foundation, the VCF Footballers Association, the VCF Academy and VCF Femenino. Football is for the brave."
PUMA's support combines with Valencia CF's commitment to helping Valencian society through the #JuntsAnemAmunt campaign, which encourages a message of hope that together we will be able to overcome adversity.
